Our Housing Developments Around Hersham tracker has been updated and rechecked as at September 2026.
The current local pipeline now stands at around 1,416 homes and units across nine sites in and around the village. That is separate from the 671 homes already delivered at the former Birds Eye and former Rydens School sites, which are shown on the map for context but not added to the total.

What has changed since the last update
- Burhill Kennels, Turners Lane now has a live outline planning application, reference 2026/1902, for up to 82 homes. This covers demolition of the existing buildings, access from Turners Lane, public open space and landscaping, with all matters reserved apart from access. This is the one on the list residents can comment on right now.
- Hersham Place Technology Park is confirmed at 262 homes under 2025/2530.
- Whiteley Village is now carried at 77 homes and included in the total, having previously been listed as to be confirmed.
- Land at Molesey Road (Fairview) is carried at up to 280 homes, the figure in Elmbridge’s screening record under 2026/0671. Fairview’s own June consultation material referred to up to 290. We have used the planning figure and explained the difference on the map.
- Weylands Treatment Works now shows its later variations, 2025/3115 and 2025/3337, alongside the original 2022/3427.
- Chippings Farm / Fairmile in Cobham now carries reference 2026/1891.
Pleasant Place has come up as a possible site of around 40 homes. No major application has been identified, so it is deliberately excluded from the total and is not shown on the map until there is something firm to point to.
Moore Place in Esher and Chippings Farm in Cobham sit outside Hersham. They appear on the map in purple because they draw on the same roads, schools and health services, but they are not counted in the 1,416.
Each site is counted once. Where a scheme has been revised, the current proposal replaces the earlier figure rather than being added to it. The Hersham Golf Club site is a good example: the current proposal is around 400 homes and the earlier approved 221-home scheme is not counted separately.
