Land South of 131 to 147 Burwood Road Hersham

There has been an almost unprecedented level of objection against the application to build 62 residential units on this quality Green Belt land in an open, tranquil and locally appreciated area of Hersham next to Burvale Cemetery.

As at 13 May there have been 634 objections in total

The Planning Department have been working hard to accommodate the responses to the application and have announced an extension to the time limit to object.

The REVISED DEADLINE is 3 JUNE 2026

If you have not yet sent an objection or observation you are now urged to do so as soon as possible. Grounds of objection include, but are not limited to:

  • Strongly performing Green Belt
  • Unsustainable location
  • Frequent surface water flooding and high groundwater
  • Inappropriate development against the local character
  • Unacceptable building heights
